TRON energy and the network

6 questions
  • What is TRON energy?

A TRON network resource that pays for running smart contracts. A USDT TRC-20 transfer is a smart contract call, so it needs energy. You get energy by staking TRX or by renting it. If there is no energy, the network burns TRX from your wallet.

  • How much energy does one USDT transfer need?

About 65,000 energy for a standard transfer and about 131,000 for a transfer to a new address (one with no USDT yet). The amount depends on the recipient address, not on how much you send.

  • Why does a transfer to a new address cost more?

The USDT contract stores a balance for every address. If the recipient has no USDT, the contract creates a new balance record for them, and a new record takes more energy than updating an existing one. That is why it needs about 131,000 energy instead of 65,000.

  • Who needs the energy: the sender or the recipient?

The sender. Energy is spent by the address the transfer is sent from, so that is the address to order it for. The recipient does not need energy to receive USDT.

  • What happens if my wallet has no energy?

The network burns TRX from the sender wallet at 100 SUN per unit of energy: 6.5 TRX for a standard transfer and 13.1 TRX for a transfer to a new address. These are network parameters as of Oct 5, 2026. If there is not enough TRX, the transfer fails.

  • How is renting energy different from staking TRX?

Staking (freezing) TRX gives you your own energy, but it takes a lot of TRX: about 6,700 TRX per standard transfer per day. After you unstake, the TRX becomes available only after 14 days. With rental, you stake nothing: you pay for energy for the time you need it.

Rental and always-on energy

6 questions
  • How does energy rental work?

In the app, you enter your wallet address, the amount of energy and the term. UsdtPull temporarily delegates energy to that address, and you send USDT as usual: the network uses the energy and your TRX stays in place. When the term ends, the energy is returned automatically.

  • How long can I rent energy for?

You choose the term when you order: 1 hour or 1 day.

  • What happens when the rental term ends?

The energy is returned automatically, you do not need to do anything. If you did not send your transfer in time, the network will burn TRX again after the term ends, so order energy again. Unused energy is not refunded.

  • How is always-on energy different from rental?

Rental gives you energy for a set term. Always-on energy stays on your address all the time: it is topped up automatically after every transaction, so your wallet always has energy for the next transfer. It suits addresses that send payouts regularly.

  • Which wallets does it work with?

Any wallet with its own TRON address: Trust Wallet, TronLink, Ledger and others. Energy goes to the address, not to the app. An exchange address will not work, because transfers from it are sent by the exchange itself.

  • Do I need TRX in my wallet if I have energy?

Besides energy, a transfer uses network bandwidth. The network gives every address a little free bandwidth each day, and if that is not enough, it burns a small amount of TRX. In UsdtPull, you can order bandwidth together with energy for an extra fee.

Security

3 questions
  • Does the service need access to my wallet?

No. The service only needs the address the energy goes to. Your keys and seed phrase stay with you, and delegating energy gives the service no rights to your USDT or TRX.

  • How can I check that the energy arrived?

In the TronScan blockchain explorer. Look up your address: you will see the energy received and the transaction that delegated it. The energy returning at the end of the term also shows up in the address history.

  • What does the service see about my wallet?

Only the address in your order and what is already public about it: balances and transfer history on the TRON blockchain are open to everyone. The service has no keys, no seed phrase and no access to your funds.

Payment and pricing

3 questions
  • How is the rental price calculated?

The price is the amount of energy multiplied by the rate in SUN per unit, where 1 TRX = 1,000,000 SUN. Without energy, the network charges 100 SUN per unit. The rental rate is lower, and you save the difference.

  • How can I pay for an order?

With TRX or USDT TRC-20. First top up your balance in the app, then order energy: the order cost is deducted from your balance. If the energy does not arrive, the money goes back to your balance automatically.

For business and API

7 questions
  • Can I order energy through an API?

Yes. With the API, you order energy from your own systems for every transfer, with no manual steps in the app. The request format is described in the API documentation.

  • Do you offer AML checks?

Yes. An AML check of addresses and transactions helps you assess the risk of funds before you accept them. You get a risk score for the address, sources of funds, sanctions screening results and a PDF report. Exchanges use it to screen the addresses their customers send funds from.

  • How can I track transfers on my addresses?

With wallet tracking: the service notifies you about USDT transfers on the addresses you follow, in Telegram, by email or through a webhook to your server. This keeps the operating addresses of an exchange or payment service under control.

  • How do I know if USDT on an address is frozen?

The USDT issuer can freeze tokens on an address, and then they cannot be sent. In UsdtPull, you can run a one-time USDT freeze check on an address, for example before a deal with a new counterparty, or turn on ongoing monitoring: the service will notify you if the USDT gets frozen.

  • Can I accept crypto payments?

Yes. UsdtPull offers crypto acquiring: accept USDT TRC-20 payments from your customers. Flat fee of 0.5 USDT per payment. Together with wallet tracking, you get notifications about transfers to your addresses.

  • What does a TRON node subscription give me?

Access to a TRON network node over HTTP API and gRPC for developers and services. Your systems use it to read blockchain data and send transactions without running their own node.
